Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Mindful Guidance LLC, doing business as BookPowered (“BookPowered,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), collects, uses, shares, and protects information connected with the BookPowered website and services.

1. Information we collect

We may collect information you provide directly, including your name, email address, contact-form inquiry, book information, author biography, expertise, mission, campaign objectives, audience preferences, claims, credentials, reviews, links, account communications, and files needed to prepare or manage outreach.

When you request a free resource or join a list, we may collect the form information, consent time, source, and campaign attribution. When you accept a service agreement, we may retain the agreement version and text, acceptance timestamp, checkout session, IP address, and browser information as evidence of the transaction. Hosting and service providers may collect basic technical information such as device, browser, IP address, pages visited, referral source, and timestamps.

2. How we use information

We use information to deliver requested resources; respond to inquiries; process transactions; create and manage accounts and campaigns; research and match relevant opportunities; prepare messages; track replies and follow-ups; provide support; maintain security; prevent abuse; analyze and improve the service; send permitted marketing communications; and meet contractual and legal obligations.

3. Campaign information

When you authorize a campaign, relevant approved information about you, your book, expertise, mission, and offer may be included in messages sent to selected media, associations, event organizers, businesses, educators, communities, nonprofits, buyers, and other appropriate recipients. We limit campaign communications to information intended for that use.

4. Lead resources and marketing communications

When you request the Book-to-Opportunity Blueprint or another resource, we use your email address to deliver it and, with your consent, send occasional BookPowered ideas and service information. You may unsubscribe at any time using the link in an email. Service and transaction messages may still be sent when necessary to operate an account or fulfill an agreement.

5. Analytics and advertising measurement

We may use privacy-conscious website analytics and advertising measurement to understand traffic, resource requests, and purchases. These services may process page views, referral information, browser or device information, IP address, cookies, and one-way hashed identifiers. We do not provide advertising platforms with the private BookPowered contact directory, recipient contact details, or private campaign replies.

Where required, we will request consent before using non-essential cookies. Browser Global Privacy Control and other legally required signals will be honored where applicable.

6. Service providers

We may use service providers for hosting, databases, email delivery, customer communication, research tools, analytics, payment processing, document storage, support, and other business operations. These providers may process information only as needed to perform services for us or as required by law.

7. Payments

Payments are processed by Stripe. BookPowered does not receive or store complete payment-card numbers. Stripe processes payment, billing, fraud-prevention, and transaction information under its own privacy terms.

8. Sharing and disclosure

We do not sell personal information. We may disclose information to service providers; with your direction or consent; to complete an authorized campaign; to protect rights, safety, security, recipients, or service integrity; in connection with a business transaction; or when required by law.

9. Data retention

We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to deliver services and resources, maintain campaign and consent records, provide support, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, prevent abuse, meet legal obligations, and support legitimate business operations. Information may be deleted or anonymized when no longer needed.

10. Your choices and privacy rights

You may ask to review, correct, or delete personal information you provided, subject to legal, security, contractual, and operational retention requirements. Depending on your location, you may have additional rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object, or receive a portable copy of information. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request.

11. Security

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards designed to protect information. No internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure. Do not send passwords, full payment-card information, or other sensitive credentials through contact forms or ordinary email.

12. International processing

BookPowered and its providers may process information in the United States and other countries. Those locations may have different data-protection laws than your jurisdiction. We use appropriate contractual and operational safeguards where required.

13. Children

BookPowered is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

14. Changes

We may update this policy as the website and services change. The updated version will be posted here with a revised date. Material changes will be communicated when required.

15. Privacy requests and contact

Submit privacy, access, correction, or deletion requests through the BookPowered contact form and choose “Privacy request.”

Review note: This policy is designed for the planned BookPowered data flows and must be updated if analytics, advertising, email, hosting, or international processing practices change.
